How Much Does It Cost?

• Size of the project: How many pages need to be converted to digital images.

• Do the pages contain photos, pictures, line drawings or images that will require color scanning?
• Do the pages need to be full-text searchable?  
• Is there a specific file indexing system that needs to be followed?
• Will the scanning be done On-Site (your place of business) or Off-Site (our place of business)?
• Size and Condition of the files.

Selecting the right company is also important.  Cost is one factor to consider, quality is another.  When evaluating a company ask them about their quality process.  Typically the standard answer is "We visually verify 10% of the records for accuracy."  Visually verify means looking at 10% of the scanned images.  It may NOT mean that the scanned image is compared to the actual document. That also means that 90% of your images are NOT checked.
